As always, we strived to keep it fairly simple in terms of explanation but hopefully the diagrams help.
Here we take a look at switching the field of play.
In this game, our players (say, LCB, LB, CM and LW) are keeping possession against the opposition. They have drawn the opponents over to the left and will then, after a certain amount of passes, switch the ball over to our right flank where one of our players is waiting (RW, for instance). Once this is done, the play is sped up and the team attempts to finish as quickly and decisively as possible.
